Before it was a pizza, it was a plate.
Oxtail on Sunday. Jerk chicken from somebody who knew. Soul food after church. Halal so everybody could eat. Something your mother, your auntie, or the neighborhood spot put in front of you and said, "Go ahead, try that."
That's the food we come from.
Today's Pizza is what happens when you take those Black memories, that Brookland, DC energy, and put it on a pizza - no watering it down.
